Welcome to the COMTO Austin Chapter!
COMTO, Conference of Minority Transportation Officials, was founded in January of 1971 at Howard University in Washington, D.C. The original concept of COMTO was to bring together minority transit officials.
It has since evolved into a board-based organization with over 2,000 members in all areas of transportation. Over twenty-six local chapters have been established throughout the United States and growing.
Membership is open to all individuals employed by the transportation industry or organizations offering services or products to the transportation industry.
The organization aims to provide greater support and facilitate access to business opportunities within the transportation industry for DBE firms, and promote the benefits of transportation and career opportunities within the industry to minorities and grassroots organizations.
