Welcome to the COMTO Austin Chapter!
Our organization has been in existence since 2004. Over the last five years, the Chapter has been able to accomplish the following major milestones:
In 2006, the Austin Chapter hosted the 35th Annual Meeting and Training Conference. This was a great achievement for a Chapter that was newly starting. The Conference was a great success and the attendees came to infuse the Austin economy.
In 2007, the then Chapter Vice-President, Aida B. Douglas, received the Gerald Anderson Sibling Award for her work in fostering relationships among all minorities in transportation.
In 2008, the Chapter launched the inaugural Scholarship Luncheon awarding $2,000 in scholarships and in 2009 awarded over $2,200.
The Austin Chapter's goals include:
Promote Business Development for Small Businesses
Promote Professional Development for members
Promote Higher Education for all minorities seeking to pursue a degree in higher education.
